Marshseis Steps up to Accept the Challenge.

In a world of ever increasing environmental challenge in which the classic car enthusiast has to exist, Dale Marshall has posed an interesting challenge to Marshseis. Could Marshseis take a classic car and bestow upon it all the attributes a modern car driver enjoys and takes for granted yet still maintain the car’s nostalgia, form, livery, and style? In essence convert and transform a classic thoroughbred to have reliability, performance, and economy, yet retain its persona of heritage and raw power and all of this in a greener than original package.

The simple answer from Marshseis was “Challenge Accepted “

The stage is set all we have to do now is decide on the vehicle(s) and come up with a firm plan. It's an audacious challenge and our vehicle choices for both classic and donor has to be inspiring and perhaps even a little rebellious.

The choice of a classic car was easy..... The want-to-be racers dream for a multitude of generations the mini was the obvious choice, so building on the already formidable reputation of the classic Mini Clubman 1275GT…. Marshseis sets out to up the game.

Acquiring a suitable classic model wasn't easy, so when this abandoned project became available MARSHSEIS seized the opportunity even though it meant a considerable transport challenge including a ferry reservation to bring the vehicle home to our Marshseis facility.

FIRST JOB..... Let's get it lifted up and see what we've got?

Out with the OLD and make way for the NEW

One HELL OF AN ENGINE! The time proven A-series mini engine with stage three tuning in its 1275 GT variation was one hell of a motor. Sadly time for it to be shelved to make room for its replacement.

Checking to see what else we have to address on our classic mini, crucial decisions have to be made. Is that rear sub frame going to cut it and meet the increase in power? Is the shell sound enough? How much modification is going to be needed? In essence a million and one decisions to make and resolve before we even get down to the true nature of the challenge.

That's about all for this our first blog....All the best and take care and be sure to keep an eye out for our next blogs where you'll find out exactly how we got on with "Creating a Time Machine".
